Forget Resolutions - Let's Talk Soul-Stirring Goals ๐ฅ
As you can probably guess, I love celebrating the new year. For me, itโs a time for fun, inspiration, and a valuable benchmark. However, if you don't approach it with the right mindset, it can sometimes feel overwhelming. The "New Year, New You" mentality can create an intense amount of pressure. Personally, I prefer to think of each month, each dayโeven every momentโas a fresh opportunity to choose differently, reflect on my desires, and grow. So if the new year energy feels exciting, great. If not, let's remember that we always have the power to reset, realign, and refocus. Instead of fixating on grand resolutions, letโs set some seriously steamy, soul-stirring goalsโgoals that make you feel like a total goddess/god/rockstar. Goals that are all about you, your passions, and what makes you feel truly alive.
Here's the thing: Setting goals isn't about deprivation or restriction. It's about honoring your desires and creating a roadmap to a life that feels good. So ditch the "shoulds" and let's get real about what you want.
1. Ditch the "Shoulds" & Embrace the "Wants"
"I should go to the gym more" vs. "I want to feel strong and energized in my body."
"I should eat healthier" vs. "I want to nourish my body with foods that make me feel vibrant and sexy."
"I should date more" vs. "I want to have playful, exciting encounters with people who make me feel truly seen."
See the difference? "Shoulds" come from a place of pressure and guilt. "Wants" come from a place of desire and self-love.
2. Make 'Em Specific & Measurable
"I want to feel more confident" is great, but how will you know when you've achieved it? Get specific!
Instead of: "I want to feel more confident."
Try: "I want to be able to walk into a room and hold eye contact with someone for 5 seconds without feeling self-conscious."
Instead of: "I want to have more fun."
Try: "I want to go on 3 dates this month and have at least one genuinely playful, flirtatious interaction on each one."
3. Break It Down, Baby
Big goals can feel overwhelming. Break them down into smaller, more manageable steps.
Instead of: "I want to get in shape."
Try: "I will go for a 20-minute walk every morning this week." or "I will try a new yoga class this weekend."
4. Celebrate Your Wins (Big & Small)
Acknowledge and celebrate every single step you take towards your goals. Whether it's going for a walk, trying a new recipe, or simply having a playful conversation with someone new, give yourself some credit!
5. Don't Be Afraid to Adjust (or Abandon) Your Goals
Life happens. Sometimes things don't go according to plan. That's okay! Don't beat yourself up if you miss a workout or have a less-than-stellar date. Simply adjust your approach or even abandon the goal altogether if it no longer serves you.
Bonus Tip: Find an accountability buddy (or a coach ๐) to help you stay on track and celebrate your wins.
This year, let's ditch the unrealistic expectations and focus on small, achievable steps that will bring you closer to a fully-realized life that feels good, authentic, and undeniably you.
